Again inspired by living in The South of France for several months in 2020… visiting dusty, handsome and very charming Chateaux….the time old patina, layers of ancient paint inside and out…..reminders of people and culture throughout history.
This painting is a glimpse into those sunny, dreamy days.
The colours depict the many layers of soft mossy greens and pale pale blues overlaid with antique golds.
The pattern repetition is in a non perfect grid,  instinctual and unplanned just like a long day in Saint Tropez.
